RFP - Feral Pig Control Program
The East Bay Regional Park District (“District”) is soliciting proposals from contractors to assist with the management and control of non-native, invasive feral pigs (Sus scrofa) throughout the District’s lands. The District manages over 126,000 acres distributed among 73 regional parks, recreation areas, shorelines, preserves, wilderness, and land bank areas within the two-county region of Contra Costa County and Alameda County, California (Attachment A). The contractor will survey for and assess the damage of feral pigs on District lands and engage in trapping, dispatching, and disposing of feral pigs, and reporting of all activities on a monthly basis. The contractor will be expected to collaborate and share experience and data with other agencies and wildlife researchers if requested. The contract will be for three years with an option to renew for an additional two years.
