RFP - Feral Pig Control Program

The East Bay Regional Park District (“District”) is soliciting proposals from contractors to assist with the management and control of non-native, invasive feral pigs (Sus scrofa) throughout the District’s lands. The District manages over 126,000 acres distributed among 73 regional parks, recreation areas, shorelines, preserves, wilderness, and land bank areas within the two-county region of Contra Costa County and Alameda County, California (Attachment A). The contractor will survey for and assess the damage of feral pigs on District lands and engage in trapping, dispatching, and disposing of feral pigs, and reporting of all activities on a monthly basis. The contractor will be expected to collaborate and share experience and data with other agencies and wildlife researchers if requested. The contract will be for three years with an option to renew for an additional two years.

Proposal Submittal Process: Submit one electronic copy of the SOP to Doug Bell, Wildlife Program Manager at DBell@ebparks.org and carbon copy Natalie Reeder, Wildlife Biologist, at nreeder@ebparks.org. Proposals must be received by the Park District no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15th, 2025. Late proposals will not be considered. We request that contractors notify the District (via email) of their interest in submitting a proposal for this project. The District’s responses to substantive questions will be shared with all contractors that notify us.
